COMMUNION FOR DIVINE ESTABLISHMENT

Key Scripture: Ephesians 6:16–17
THE HELMET OF SALVATION AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE MIND
The helmet of salvation is not just for the protection of the head. Spiritually, it speaks of the protection, transformation, and establishment of the mind through the finished work of Christ on the cross of Calvary.
For you to be established, you must be able to overcome and gain victory over the issues and battles of life, especially the battle of the mind.
Many battles we fight in life begin in the mind before manifesting in the physical. The enemy constantly attacks the mind because everything we do is first conceived in the mind before it becomes an action.
When you have the mind of Christ, the enemy tries to corrupt your thinking and influence your mind so that you no longer think in line with God’s Word.
SEVEN THINGS THE ENEMY SEEKS TO ATTACK
Satan focuses on attacking seven main areas of our lives:
1. Our Identity in Christ
The enemy tries to make us doubt who we are in Christ and forget the identity we have received through Him.
2. Our Faith in God
He attacks our faith by making us doubt God’s Word, His promises, and His ability to fulfil them in our lives.
3. Our Hope in Salvation
The enemy tries to weaken our hope in the salvation we have received through Christ, making us lose confidence in what God has prepared for us.
4. Our Peace of Mind
He attacks our peace by filling our minds with fear, anxiety, confusion, and discouragement.
5. Our Confidence in God
The enemy tries to make us lose confidence in God, especially when we face challenges or when the answers to our prayers seem delayed.
6. The Word of God
He fights against God’s Word by trying to make us doubt what God has said and believe things that contradict His truth.
7. Our Future Expectations
The enemy attacks our expectations for the future by bringing thoughts of hopelessness and making us doubt what lies ahead.
CONCLUSION
The helmet of salvation helps us become established because the knowledge of what Christ has accomplished for us transforms our minds.
As our minds are renewed by the truth of God’s Word, we become better equipped to stand firm against the attacks of the enemy.
Divine establishment begins with a mind that is protected, transformed, and grounded in the truth of Christ’s finished work on the cross of Calvary.
